When he was 3 years old he started his musical career with classical piano.
Then he played some kinds of musical instruments such as Shino-bue (Japanese
bamboo flute) as well. He learned Shino-bue under Mr. Hiroyuki Koinuma
who is a famous leading Shino-bue player in Japan. He became a player of
Native American flute in 2000. He learned cultures and history of Native
American people at Northern Arizona University. When he was in Arizona
he exchanged friendship with Native American people including ‘Hopi’ which
is less influenced by white American culture. He learned how to make Native
American flute and collected Native American’s folk songs and folk tales.
He started his career as a professional player of Native American Flute
when he was in the USA and performed in Sedona, LA and Hopi reservation.
His unique flute playing with wordless storytelling style and the theme
of stories based on Native American’s folk tales and their deep sacred
spirits is highly evaluated. Now he moved his activity base to Japan and
is doing activities collaborating with various artists. As he pays attention
to the nature conservation he is not only creating his unique sound world
but also doing live activities using solar power.
